Our staff

The CCEW is compromised of trained staff members who are CRLA certified and equipped with years of experiencing in both group instructional settings and in one-on-one consultation work at the postsecondary level. These CCEW consultants work with you to provide individualized writing services to suit your needs beyond the academic. They work with you to identify your interests and writing goals and collaborate with you to develop a plan to realize your writing pursuits.

Marcy

Marcy entered New York University following her junior year of high school at the age of 17 as a Piano Performance Major and performed at the New York University Performing Arts Hall, Avery Fisher Hall, NYC Town Hall, and the NJ Performing Arts Center. She is the owner and Director of the largest piano student in Florida and specializes in teaching children on the Spectrum and those that are highly gifted and talented. She is a Professional Tutor for FAU when called in to teach for Applied Piano and Undergraduate and Graduate Music Theory. She was an Executive Vice President, Director of Wealth Management, and Managing Principal for a plethora of Major financial institutions throughout the US, establishing de novo Wealth Management Divisions (private banking, broker/dealer, trust, capital management insurance services and financial planning). She is a Chairman and Industry Expert, judging investment arbitrations for FINRA, and is called in as an Expert Witness for the financial industry at Thomson Reuters. She maintains her MBA and Executive JD. Perhaps most relevant to her work as a writing consultant in the FAU writing center (where she has worked for 6 years), is  she scored a 5.5 on the National GRE Writing Exam, placing her in the 98% for writing; she is the CEO and owner of a professional writing company that specializes in editing business reports, ghost writing, and editing for academia.

Phil

Phil is an experienced instructor in Composition, World Literature, and Journalism. He received a B.S in English and MA in Journalism from The Ohio State University. Phil was an Instructor in The Urban Scholars Program and taught Composition at The University of Massachusetts, Boston. For nine years, he was an Adjunct Instructor of English at Florida Atlantic University, teaching sections of ENC 1101 and 1102. Phil has been published in major newspapers and magazines nationwide including The Boston Globe, The Philadelphia Inquirer, The Columbus (OH) Citizen Journal, and Parklander Magazine. Currently he is writing website copy for Signature Florida Realty based in Delray Beach. He continues to offer his knowledge and expertise in the Teaching of Writing as a Tutor of English throughout South Florida where he has extensive experience working with Undergraduate and Graduate Students.

Andy

Hello, fellow students. I have broad interdisciplinary experience in the social sciences, including a masters in communication, and a doctorate in sociology from Boston University. So I welcome anyone working both on beginning and advanced projects in any of the social sciences. In addition to scholarly research, I have also written fiction, poetry, and screen and stage plays (and even written a song or two!). But my first love (well, aside from my family) is barber shop harmony. I could sing it all day. I hope to work with you soon.
