For more than two decades FAU Harbor Branch aquaculture researchers, along with industry partners, have developed state-of-the-art techniques aimed at advancing the culture of Florida pompano in recirculating systems toward commercialization. This workshop will showcase findings from three years of Florida Sea Grant-funded research focused on overcoming the hurdles to commercialization of Florida pompano aquaculture in U.S.

This FREE workshop is open to industry professionals as well as interested members of the general public. Pompano culture fundamentals including broodstock conditioning, spawning, larviculture, and the use of recirculating aquaculture systems (RAS) for grow-out will be explored. Focus presentations will cover topics including the commercial availability of juvenile pompano, advancements in nutrition and prepared feeds, the use of probiotics, prebiotics and immunostimulants, and aquaculture business and market planning.

There is no charge for this workshop, but advanced registration is required for both in-person and virtual attendees. In-person seating is limited to a first come basis. Online registrations can be made by using this link: bjtvalve.com/hboi/conferences . Registration will close January 13, 2023.

After registration virtual attendees will be sent instructions for joining.
